In this lesson we had very little time together and then we had to split up. In the 15 minutes we had we decided what characters we would make as we could not make all of them. We also decided what was the mood like in the story, in the end we divided it into 3 main parts.
When we split up the music students learnt about the gamelan music and they also saw an example of a gamelan performance. In Art the students learnt about the skill of making shadow puppets, they also saw examples on how to make them. They started to plan the way that their puppets were going to be created. In music the students also saw a basic piece of music that they also tried called Lankar and Cobowo. We all tried to play the instruments of our ability and later we got into our business departments to practice it together.
The characters that we were going to do were as follows:
- Hanuman
- Rama
- Lakshmana
- the queens
- Witch/ doctor
- Ravana
- The Babies
Mood:
- First part (Till damaged to take her out of the house)= Calm Music
- Second Part (Till they had a war) = Angry/ war Music
- Third part (till the end) = Calm Music
